It’s far too cold, wet and
muddy to try and hold workshops at the Sanctuary over winter, so we moved to
the warmth of my kitchen.
On 8th November we looked at winter teas, syrups and cordials. We made and
tasted “cold” tea – mint, yarrow and elderflower and ginger root, lemon
juice and honey infusion. We cooked a decoction of flax seed, cinnamon and
orange and then tried elderberry elixir, rosehip, blackberry and Madeira
syrup, ginger syrup and nettle latte.
We also made an elderberry cordial for the nine participants to take home. |
