December 2004

December: Time to think about Christmas presents; how the herbs I gathered
and processed could be used to make interesting gifts for friends and
colleagues. These are a few idea I came up with :-
-
Lip balm made from double infused
calendula in cocoa butter and sunflower oil
-
St John's wort salve (for people who fall
over on astroturf or who work with their hands in building or chemical
mediums)
-
St John's wort massage oil made from
flowers infused in sunflower oil in the kitchen window sill in 1oz
dropper bottles plus 4 drops of rosemary essential oil for people who
engage in lots of sports
-
Meadowsweet massage oil - double infused
fresh aerial parts in olive oil for people with arthritic knees
-
White sage tincture (dried salvia apiana
infused in vodka for 3 weeks) to use as a perfume to repel negativity
-
Dried white sage leaves in hand made
wooden boxes (from my father)to keep on an altar or wherever sacred
things are stored to repel negativity
-
A selection of herbal oils (dandelion,
mugwort, st john's wort, vervain, tansy, southernwood) together with a
list of their healing and energetic properties for a healer who includes
hand and feet massage in his colour healing.
